Midwest Orthopaedic Consultant's diagnostic center offers a broad range of diagnostic testing including MRI, X-Ray, EMG and Dexascan.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) provides detailed pictures of your internal organs without the use of X-Ray radiation or invasive techniques by measuring the energy frequencies released by the body's cells as they react to radio waves within a magnetic field. The test is performed in a strong magnet with radio waves directed at the area of interest. Your body responds with its own radio signals that are processed by a computer and converted into images. The exam is painless and there are no harmful effects from the MRI.

Dexascan is a bone density testing device that uses low level radiation to screen for osteoporosis, a condition associated with brittle bones.
